High school, kindergarten students team up

Crestview High School teacher Ali Sawmiller’s Parenting class recently partnered with Julie Cook’s kindergarten class in a cross-curricular project. While the kindergarten class was studying about colors and how crayons were made, Sawmiller’s class was busy learning about young children. To conclude their respective units, each class worked together to recycle broken crayons by melting them down, thus creating new ones. Pictured are Cook’s kindergarteners, coloring pictures with their new crayons, while Sawmiller’s students offer assistance. (Photo submitted.)
