James J. Carr

James J. Carr, 66, of Ohio City, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born April 25, 1949, in Van Wert, the son of Victor Martin and Ola Mae (Fry) Carr, who both preceded him in death. On November 10, 1968, he married the former Sheryl Ann Courtney, who survives in Ohio City.

Other survivors include three children, Scott Carr of Van Wert, Jamie Carr of Ohio City, and Vicki (Rex) Marbaugh of Ohio City; three grandchildren; and a brother, Michael E. (Vickie) Carr of Louisville, Kentucky.

A brother, Jerry Wayne Carr, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, October 9, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
