Early voting begins in Van Wert County

VW County Board of Elections information

The Van Wert County Board of Elections announces that early voting for the November 3 General Election has begun.

Voting will be done in the Commissioners’ Conference Room next door to the Election Board, 120 E. Main St. Effective immediately, office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Election artwork 11-6-12The only Saturday and Sunday the Board of Elections office will be open for voting will be October 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 1 from 1 to 5 p.m.

To vote an early ballot a person must be a registered voter and provide either the last four digits of their social security number or driver’s license number (XX123456).  If neither of these items is available, a copy of a current and valid photo ID (state ID card, government ID, etc.) may be used. The photo ID must show the name and address of the voter or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document that shows the voter’s name and current address.

Ballots may be sent by mailing a signed request to the office (120 E. Main Street, Van Wert, OH 45891), along with date of birth, drivers license number (XX123456) or last four numbers of the individual’s social security number and an address where the ballot may be sent.
