City releases leaf pick-up information

City of Van Wert information

The City of Van Wert will have leaf pick-ups the first four Mondays in November, with the first pick-up on Monday, November 2, and the last pick-up Monday, November 23.

To be picked up, leaves must be in paper biodegradable bags and placed at the curb the night prior to the pick-up date. City residents are urged not to abuse this service by inserting garbage and other foreign materials in with leaves, as the leaves will be disposed of in a way not conducive to trash.

Van Wert residents are also reminded that it is unlawful to rake leaves into the street.
