Ethel E. Ebel Rotsinger

Ethel E. (Ebel) Rotsinger, 91, of Van wert, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born December 19, 1922, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota, the daughter of Richard and Elsie (Roeder) Medenwald, who both preceded her in death. On October 3, 1944, she married Earl E. Ebel Sr., who died October 11, 1984. On June 15, 1991, she married LeRoy A. Rotsinger, who died August 26, 2006.

Survivors include five children, Earl E. “JR” (Cathy) Ebel Jr. of Convoy, Lyle (Debra) Ebel of Grover Hill, Jeff (Diann) Ebel of Grover Hill, Greg Ebel of Wren, and Faith (Ed) Fabian of Convoy; three sisters, Viola Mikesh of Lidgerwood, North Dakota, Lavine Stewart of Whapten, North Dakota, and Bernice Differding of Breckenridge, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Eric Rotsinger and Laura (John) Metzger and several nieces and nephews.

Four brothers, Elvin, Orin, Rich and Rueben Medenwald; a sister, Lucille Van Vladeren; and one grandchild, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 26, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Michael Saylor officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours 3-8 p.m. Sunday, October 25, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
