Walter Bock Arnette

Walter Bock Arnette, 79, of Delphos, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at his residence.

He was born April 27, 1936, in Defiance, the son of Walter L. and Grace Helene (Bock) Arnette, who both preceded him in death. On June 1, 1957, in Grace Episcopal Church in Defiance, he married Shirley Ann (Seebauer) Arnette, died in May 2011.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Renee Nagel of Byron, Illinois; two foster daughters, Tara (Roger) Kaverman and Tracy (Jeff) Krendl, both of Delphos; two sisters-in-law, Pat (Ned) Bechtel of Delta and Carol Vandemark of San Antonio, Texas; a stepbrother, Jim Haas of Akron; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

A daughter, Tamara Sue Jack; his stepmother, Mabel Haas; a stepbrother, Norman Roerig; a son-in-law, Richard Anthony Nagel; one grandchild, Christopher Nagel; and a brother-in-law, Bill Vandemark, also preceded him in death.

A celebration of Walter’s life, with Holy Eucharist, will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 7, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Delphos, with the Rev. Steve Nelson officiating. Interment of cremains will be a private service at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.

Calling hours are an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of donor’s choice.
