Donald W. Jent

Donald W. Jent, 76, of Ohio City, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born May 25, 1939, in Letcher County, Kentucky, the son of John F. and Mabel (Caudill) Jent, who both preceded him in death. On July 21, 1961, he married the former Joyce Ann Rice, who died December 23, 2001.

Survivors include a son, Bradley D. Jent of Ohio City; two daughters, Debra K. Jent of Hudson, Indiana, and Lori L. (Brent) Kohn of Ohio City; a brother, Jimmy (Mary) Jent of Rineyville, Kentucky; one sister, Nancy (James) Moore of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A sister, Alice Grimes; and one brother, George Jent, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 28, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor James E. Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
