Mendon sets Town Hall Christmas event

MENDON — The 17th annual Town Hall Christmas event will be held in this village Friday and Saturday, December 4-5.

A total of 85 Christmas trees, decorated by area residents, organizations, and businesses will be on display at the Mendon Town Hall. Admission to the tree festival is $1, with children 12 and under admitted free, including refreshments. Hours for the event are 6-9 p.m. Friday and 1-5:30 p.m. Saturday.
A number of related activities are planned for the event, including the following:
Bethlehem Stable – Animals of the Nativity, including camels, sheep, donkeys, can be seen from 5-9 p.m. Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Old Mendon Fire House.
Holiday Open House Extravaganza – A number of vendors for Scentsy, Perfectly Posh, Origami Owl and others will be at the Old Mendon Farm Store from 6-9 p.m. Friday and noon-5 p.m. Saturday.
Bake sale and family craft sale – The bake sale will be held at Mendon United Methodist Church from 6-9 p.m. Friday and 1-5:30 p.m. Saturday, while the craft sale will be from 1-5:30 p.m. Saturday only.
Angel, Nativity and Veterans displays – To be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday and 1-5:30 p.m. Saturday at First Church of God in Mendon. Caricature drawings will also be available from 2-4 p.m. Saturday only.
Santa Claus visit – From 1:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday only at the Santa House next to the town hall.
Horse-drawn carriage rides – To be offered from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday across from the town hall.
