Gary P. Schwinnen

Gary P. Schwinnen, 61, of Delphos, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born May 16, 1954, in Lima, the son of Arnold and Dorothy (Pohlman) Schwinnen, who both preceded him in death. On October 26, 1974, he married the former Susanne German, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include two sons, Andy (Holly) Schwinnen of Delphos and James (Stacy) Cooley of Middle Point; two daughters, Kisha Gougis of Romeoville, Illinois, and Katy (Ed) Wagner of Delphos; one brother, Ron (Sharon) Schwinnen of Delphos; two sisters, Sandra Hellman and Linda Martin, both of Delphos; and 11 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, at St. John the Baptist Church in Landeck. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, December 11, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening, and a Landeck Foresters service will follow at 8 p.m.
