Irma E. Grismore

Irma E. Grismore, 89, of Delphos, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

She was born March 26, 1926, in Delphos, the daughter of Henry J. and Philomena M. (Gremling) Elwer, who both preceded her in death. On June 2, 1948, she married Paul S. Brickner, who died June 14, 1972. On November 25, 1983, she married Earl W. Grismore, who also preceded her in death on October 7, 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Brickner of Sugar Land, Texas, and Ronald Brickner of Reynoldsburg; two daughters, Mary E. (Tom) Morris of Delphos and Jayne Brickner of Columbus; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

An infant daughter, Sandra Kay Brickner; two brothers, Clarence and Virgil Elwer; and five sisters, Martha Solberg, Pauline Rabe, Henerietta A. Ellerbrock, Marcile Schmitz, and Alfreda Elwer, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 10, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
