Peony Fest plans grand marshal contest
VW Peony Festival information
Area students in grades 6-8 have been asked to participate in the 2016 Peony Festival Grand Marshal Essay Contest.
Students are asked to compose an essay of approximately 500 words, to be written about a living adult 18 years of age or older who has made an impact, made a difference, or mentored their life, and how they did so.
Each essay will be kept anonymous and a panel of judges will read each one and make their choice. The student and their honoree will be the grand marshals of the 2016 Peony Festival Parade. Those who would like to participate should contact Renee Hartman at 419.203.9433 or Jane Lianez at 419.203.4018 for event details and guidelines.
