Elsie M. Stahr

Elsie M. Stahr, 86, of Van Wert, died at 2:31 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born April 4, 1929, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas I. and Ocie (Bollenbaugh) Miller, who both preceded her in death. On October 8, 1955, she married Jack L. Stahr, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son, Steven J. Stahr of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and several cousins.

A brother, Irvin Max Miller; and one sister, Patricia Leathers, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. Monday, December 14, at the funeral home.
