New trooper assigned to Van Wert post

Ohio State Highway Patrol information

The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has a new trooper serving at the post.

Trooper Jacob Blossom graduated from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy on September 18 after 26 weeks of intense paramilitary training.

Courses completed by the Patrol’s 158th class included crash investigation, criminal and traffic law, detection of impaired drivers, firearms, physical fitness, self-defense, and emergency vehicle operations.

Trooper Blossom recently completed his field-training period and is now serving the Van Wert and Paulding county communities.
