Gloria Irene Felger

Gloria Irene Felger, 77, of Van Wert, passed away at 10:07 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born March 10, 1938, in Van Wert, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Taylor) Schoonover, who both preceded her in death. On June 25, 1965, she married Ralph E. Felger, who died July 14, 2003.

She is survived by her children, Anita Richards of Middle Point,  Jennifer Yoh and James Felger, both of Van Wert, Eric Felger of Anna, and Amy (Mike) Garrett of Delphos; three grandchildren, Stacie Rhodes of Franklin, Tennessee, Justin (Amanda) Yoh of Sidney, and Shellie (Dave) Ralston of Wren; a great-grandchild, Lillian Nicole Yoh, who is to be born in April 2016. Survivors also include three brothers, Frank (Lois) Schoonover, Larry (Beverly) Schoonover, and Tom (Mary) Tyler; two sisters, Carolyn (Steve) Murphy and Emma (Wade Sr.) Raines; a sister-in-law, Penny Tyler; and one brother-in-law, Danny Felger. Also surviving is her loyal canine companion, Molly.

Two sons, Brent and Brian Felger; and a brother, Clifford Tyler Sr., also preceded her in death.

She was a member of TOPS and the Rainbow Club.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Jim Alter officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Taylor Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, at the funeral home.
