Denean Branstrator

Denean Branstrator, 97, of Convoy died Wednesday, December 16, 2015, in Maitland, Florida.

He was born April 30, 1918, in Roanoke, Indiana, the son of Willis and Dessie (Chaney) Branstrator, who both preceded him in death. On November 14, 1941, in Van Wert, he married the former Evalyn Fugate, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include three children, Dan and Terri (Davis) Branstrator of Fremont, Vaughn and Ellen (Branstrator) Shellhause of Maitland, Florida, Arabella Falls of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and four grandchildren.

A sister, Delvena Ketzler, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, December 28, at Convoy United Methodist Church, with Pastor Melissa Steinecker officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy, with graveside military honors rendered by combined units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
