Barbara Gene Wagner

Barbara Gene Wagner, 77, of Convoy, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born December 18, 1938, in Van Wert, the daughter of Eugene Joseph and Mary Evelyn (Nogle) Gilliland, who both preceded her in death. On October 1, 1960, she married David E. Wagner, who died March 11, 2005.

Survivors include two children, Kimberly Kay Wagner of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Mark David Wagner of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; a brother, Bob Gilliland of The Villages, Florida; and two sisters, Bev Gilliland of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Bunnie (Chick) Stewart of Van Wert.

A sister, Brenda Ables, also preceded her in death.

There will be no public funeral service. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy at a later date.

Calling hours are from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, December 27, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
