Larry K. Profit

Larry K. Profit, 75, of Rockford, died at 8:24 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.

He was born April 24, 1940, in Van Wert County, the son of Keith Profit, who preceded him in death, and Eunice (Bowersock) Profit, who survives in Rockford. On November 27, 1960, he married Joyce E. (Beerman) Profit, who also survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include three children, Terry (Vicki) Profit and Gregg (Tammy) Profit, both of Van Wert, and Mike (Jennifer) Profit of Rockford; a sister, Katheryn Smith of Ohio City; eight grandchildren, Zach (Danielle) Profit, Brock (Brianna) Profit, Kyle (Taylor) Profit, Ryan (Andrea) Profit, Shania Profit, Delayna Profit, Rodney Perry, and Kaitlin Perry; and three great-grandchildren, Braylyn Profit, Bostyn Profit, and Parker Profit.

Mr. Profit was a lifetime farmer in York Township, Van Wert County, and also worked at Braun Industries in Van Wert. He was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church in Venedocia.

Larry was an avid woodworker, and, most importantly, loved being involved with all of his grandchildren and their activities.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Thomas Emery officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery at a later date.

Calling hours are from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
