Michael Brent Rowland

Michael Brent Rowland, 67, of Middle Point, died at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2016, at his residence.

He was born on September 1, 1948, in Van Wert, the son of Carl G. and Gertrude M. (Dixon) Rowland, who both preceded him in death. On June 21, 1980, he married the former Colleen Carroll, who survives in Middle Point.

Other survivors include three sons, Brian (Danielle) Rowland of Columbus, Gregg Rowland of Louisville, Kentucky, and J.B. (Sarah) Richie of Florida; four daughters, Tabatha (Matt) Blackmore and Angela Bustos, both of Van Wert, Kristina (Steve) Bowen of Elida, and Jayleen (Rob) Derryberry of Florida; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Rowland of Cullman, Alabama; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A sister, Brenda Rodgers, also preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 10, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Military honors will be rendered by combined units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, January 8, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.
