Four-player teams will compete for cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place finishes. Players will travel to 12 Van Wert locations to play one hole of Putt Putt Golf at each location. Participating businesses and organizations this year are American Legion Post 178, Fricker’s, Kennedy-Kuhn, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, Sears, Van Wert Bedrooms, Lee Kinstle GM Sales & Service, Elks Lodge 1197, Eickholt Farms, and, new this year, Lee’s Ace Hardware, Willow Bend Country Club, and Hickory Sticks Golf Club.
Teams may sign up at any of the participating locations. The cost is $80 per team. Play will begin and end at the American Legion Post 178 on West Main Street. The Legion will be serving breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Holes can be played in any order, anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Each business/organization creates its own hole and anything goes. Golfers vote for their favorite hole and the winning business receives a travelling trophy.
