The United Way recognized several board members at their Board of Trustee meeting on January 21 at the Community Health Educational Room.

Laura Moody was recognized for her three years of service on the board. She has been an active member of the United Way Committee at Eaton for all three years and was on the Industrial and Special Events Committee of United Way. Moody works at Eaton Corporation and will be missed by United Way.

Anita Carvajal will be leaving the Executive Board and moving to the Board of Trustees. Carvajal has served the United Way for five years. She started as Day of Caring assistant, and then moved to Day of Caring chair, campaign chair, president, and past president.

“She has been a great leader for the United Way and played an instrumental part in implementing the Van Wert County 2-1-1 program,” said United Way Executive Director Vicki Smith.

Carvajal also works at Eaton Corporation.

Matt Miller will also be leaving the Executive Board and moving to the Board of Trustees. Miller has served in the role of treasurer since 2010. He started out on the Admissions and Review Committee before accepting the treasurer’s position.
