Rev. Lloyd L. Roberts

Rev. Lloyd L. Roberts, 80, of Van Wert, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He was born March 26, 1935, in Van Wert, the son of Herman Roberts and Rilla (Craig) Roberts-Shinaberry, who both preceded him in death. On December 12, 1953, he married Hazel J. (Kline) Roberts, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include four children, Diane Kupper, Randy (Sallie) Roberts, Timothy (Michelle) Roberts, and Shelby Roberts, all of Van Wert; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Rudolf “Rudy”, Gene, and Todd Roberts; and five sisters, Crystal Gwodz, Natalie Gerigog, Virginia Straley, Becky Fetheroff, and Gloria Kemmel, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Ken Bell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, at the funeral home.
