Charles F. Hammond

Charles F. “Chuck” Hammond, 72, of Delphos, has died.

He was born February 16, 1944, in Zanesville, the son of Fabian and Evelyn (Snider) Hammond, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Donald A. Hammond of Delphos; one daughter, Lillian L. (Michael) Painter of Victoria, Texas; three sisters, Joan Buzard of California, and Bonnie Fairfax and Helen Hammond, both of Delphos; and two grandsons.

Three brothers, David, Donald, and Paul Hammond; and his stepfather, Tom Minning, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 27, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Pastors Wayne Prater and Rodney Shade officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military honors rendered by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 26, at the funeral home.
