VW independent/submitted information

This weekend is a big one for Girl Scouts of Western Ohio — and for those who love Girl Scout cookies.

Girl Scout cookie artwork 2-2016Girl Scout cookies begin arriving by the truckload for pick up by local volunteers. More than 2.9 million boxes will be distributed to more than 2,300 troops in 32 counties throughout western Ohio.

A couple of “cookie drops” are scheduled for northwest Ohio, with the largest drops listed below, with locations and times. At the drops, volunteers will pick up cases of cookies for their troop’s initial cookie orders, which Girl Scouts will distribute to customers over the coming weeks.

Cookie varieties include the following: Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Savannah Smiles, Rah-Rah Raisins, and a limited offering of Toffee-tastic.

Those who haven’t ordered their cookies shouldn’t panic, though. Girl Scout Cookie Booth sales will begin March 4 and run through the end of the month.

Local Cookie Booths will be held at the following locations:
