Runners in NYC half-marathon

Eight local athletes traveled to New York City this past weekend to participate in the NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon. Winter Run Club members have been meeting since November for workouts and long runs in preparation for the culminating half-marathon challenge. Those participating were Cade Chiles, Nicole Clay, Chloee Gamble, Ali Gemmer, Max Sealscott, Julia Springer, Callahan Wolfrum, and Sam Wolfrum. The young runners are in grades 7-12 and participate in cross country at Lincolnview and Van Wert. Special thanks to Erik McCracken at Lee Kinstle GM Sales & Service for his generous donation of a 12-passenger van for the trip.
