VW fourth-graders earn award

The fourth grade students in Elizabeth Davis and Traci McCoy’s classes collaborated this fall on a video. The students worked to come up with a script, create props, and produce a movie, based on what the power of wind means to them. After producing the video the classes had help from the community voting on the video with “likes”, “comments”, and “shares” on Facebook. In conjunction with Facebook views, Iberdrola then rated the local video and other videos, selecting the fourth-graders’ video as the national winner. The fourth grade classes won a KidWind wind experiment classroom pack as well as a $2,500 donation to the school.
