Harry E. Dunn Sr. of Scott died at 1:23 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born April 13, 1937, in Scott, the son of William and Jennie (Cotterman) Dunn, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include three children, Harry E. (Diana) Dunn Jr. and Mary Katherine Weck, both of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Sheryle Ann Spurlin of Scott; six American Flag for obituaries 6-2011grandchildren, Don Weck, Lindsey (Cody) Robinson, Zach (Gabby) Dunn, Heather (Dan) Sutton, Arty Spurlin, and Russ Spurlin; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Fowler of Huntsville.

Eight brothers and sisters, including Florence Brotherwood, Robert Dunn, Vera Dunn, Dorthy Gilbach, Ervin Dunn, Mildred Runion, George R. Dunn, and Marie Roberts, also preceded him in death.

Harry was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Fruehauf Corporation, a former member of Scott Volunteer Fire Department and Scott Village Council, and had been involved in the management of Lancer Pizza Shop.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in the Fireside Room of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, with his entire family and friends invited to attend. Burial will be in King Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Preferred memorials: Paulding Visiting Nurses Association or Habitat for Humanity.
