Larry D. Welker
Larry D. Welker, 78, of Venedocia, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

He was born April 14, 1937, in Venedocia to the late Delmar E. and Lucile G. (Thomas) Welker.
He graduated from York High School and was employed at Kennedy Manufacturing in Van Wert, retiring in 1999 after 37 years of service. He loved owning, riding and caring for his Harley Davidson motorcycles for most of his life and also enjoyed working on many projects in his workshop in Jonestown.
Larry also enjoyed mowing and working outdoors. He attended Kingsley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his children, Kevin (Brenda) Welker of Scott, Debbie (Rex) Bragg of Jonestown, and Karen (Rog) Rank of Van Wert; eight grandchildren, Tyler (Beckie) Holdgreve of Van Wert, Becki (JR) Mollenkopf of Convoy, Misty (Scott) Marshall of Dublin, Holly (Dan) Metzger of Lewis Center, Kris (Erica) Lytle of Lewis Center, Trey (Heather) Bragg of Van Wert, Kaleb Rank of Van Wert, and Brad (Cindy) Fisher of Scott; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, Mary Jane Watkins of Delphos.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Stanley D. Welker, and a great-grandson, Saxon Fisher.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at Kingsley United Methodist Church, with Pastor Daniel Metzger officiating.
