ODOT announces area highway projects

LIMA — The following is work scheduled to occur in the coming week on state highways within the Van Wert independent’s coverage area. For the latest in statewide construction, visit www.ohgo.com.

Paulding County 

Ohio 49 north of the village of Payne, between Road 94 and Road 96, will be closed beginning March 21 for 60 days for a bridge replacement project. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 500 and Ohio 111 back to Ohio 49. Vernon Nagel of Napoleon is performing the work.

Putnam County

Ohio 696 between the Allen County line and Ohio 12 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. The ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage is performing the work.

Van Wert County


Sealing of pavement cracks will take place at the following locations during the week. The ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage is performing the work:

• U.S. 30, both eastbound and westbound, between the city of Van Wert and the Indiana line.
• Ohio 49, both northbound and southbound, between U.S. 30 and U.S. 224.
