EMA office to host weather spotters class

The Van Wert County Emergency Management will be sponsoring a tornado/severe weather spotters class on Tuesday, March 22, in the Marsh Foundation Auditorium.
The training, which will be conducted by National Weather Service Meteorologist, will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude by 9 that evening.
Van Wert County Emergency Management Director Rick McCoy asks that individuals begin checking in by 6:30 that night to register, or registration can be done online at http://vanwertohspotter2016.eventzill.net.
The course is open to the public who want to be weather spotters, as well as local emergency responders and amateur radio operators who provide area spotting each year. There is no cost for the class.
