Smith to play in OHSAA all-star grid game

Nolan Smith, a senior offensive lineman at Van Wert High School, was selected to play in the 2016 Ohio High Football Coaches Association North-South Classic on April 30 at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium. The annual game features the best football players from the state of Ohio.
Smith will play in the first game, which will feature senior players from gridiron programs in Divisions IV-VII. Kick-off is at 11 a.m. The second game, which will feature players from gridiron programs in Divisions I-III, will start at 4 p.m.
Each contest will pit student-athletes from the northern half of the state against players from the southern half. Smith, who will attend Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in the fall, will be playing for the South squad, coached by Coldwater’s Chip Otten.
