Irene H. Myers

Irene H. Myers, 99, of rural Ohio City, died at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born December 8, 1916, in Dayton, the daughter of Harry and Eva (Hodgson) Spidel, who both preceded her in death. On November 27, 1935, she married Walter William Myers, who died December 28, 1991.

Survivors include a son, William Alan Myers of Convoy; two daughters, Joyce Ann McNeely of Convoy and Dixie Lee Nofer of Ohio City; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

A daughter, Carol Jean Myers; one grandson, Dana Jay Nofer; two brothers, William Spidel and Harry Spidel Jr.; two sisters, Janice Smith and Eileen Bowser; and two sons-in-law, Robert Nofer and Glen McNeely, also preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Tim Powell officiating.

Visitation will take place from noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
