Carol D. Cramer

Carol D. Cramer, 70, of Van Wert, died at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born June 7, 1945, in Decatur, Indiana, the daughter of Edgar F. and Ann (Gilgen) Kiess, who both preceded her in death. On July 16, 1962, she married Julius M. “Mike” Cramer, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three children, Mike (April) Cramer of Decatur, Illinois, Patti S. (Tracey) Rodman of Van Wert, and Steven L. (Patti) Cramer of Convoy; two brothers, Ronald Kiess of Decatur and Joseph (Donna) Kiess of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters, Janet Schwinn of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Connie McKenzie of Sarasota, Florida; three grandchildren, Gregory Cramer, Jennifer Cramer, and Kristen Cramer; and one great-grandchild, Alexis Cramer.

Carol was a retired auto parts pro at Advanced Auto in Van Wert. As a devout Republican, Carol enjoyed talking politics, as well as reading.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.

Visitation is an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
