Camera Club deals with new responsibilities

Coming up next Thursday, April 14, is the Van Wert Area Photography Club’s monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at 114 S. Race St.  Due to the fact that the club has received Federal 501(c)(3) status, and has filed the paperwork with the state for Ohio status, it now faces requirements for governmental annual income tax and activity reports for the first time.

At the time the club’s bylaws were created and approved in May of 2014, such reports were not foreseen; so now part of the club’s business agenda this month will be a vote on the presentation of amendments to the bylaws that will list these new responsibilities and what officers will be designated to carry them out.

It is hoped that there will be a good attendance to provide input into the wording of these new bylaw amendments.
