The Van Wert boys’ tennis team got a historic win, shutting out Shawnee 5-0 for the first time ever in a Western Buckeye League victory on Tuesday.

Individual match scores are as follows:

• No. 1 singles — Brandon Amstutz (VW) def. Jake Liddle (S) 6-1, 6-2.
• No. 2 singles — Nick Etter (VW) def. Isaac Hanover (S) 6-2, 6-4.
• No. 3 singles — Ryan Keber (VW) def. Jackson Schaaf (S) 6-4, 6-1.
• No. 1 doubles — Gabe Rollins/Davis Munroe (VW) def. Max Jones/Danny Kesner (S) 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
• No. 2 doubles — Mike Etter/Spencer Teman (VW) def. Haha Battula/Daniel Patricio-Agosto (S) 6-3, 6-3.
