VWMS physics project

Eighth-graders at Van Wert Middle School recently completed a physical science project on vehicle safety. Part of the project involved students visiting Lee Kinstle’s GM Sales & Service to be introduced to several car safety features. Students were shown three different vehicles by Ernie Kelly of Lee Kinstle’s and their task is to figure out which vehicle would be the safest, based on physical science. Students collected data from the window stickers and made measurements of each of the vehicles to make an educated decision. The students will take the information they discovered at Lee Kinstle’s, along with their physics knowledge, to make a vehicle safety flyer. (photo submitted)
