Knights get busy

The Knights kicked off last weekend with their junior/senior prom. The theme was A Night under the Stars and the prom was decorated with stars hung from the windows and lights hung on the ceiling. After Prom was at the bowling alley in Van Wert at Olympic Lanes. Siera Wood said, “My senior prom was fantastic because I got to spend it with my boyfriend and a group of all my friends.”

Softball and baseball teams have been very busy with games during the week and double-headers on Saturday. Next week, varsity softball will be playing on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Varsity baseball plays on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Senior softball player Tianna Rager said, “We have been playing very well lately but will be faced with a challenge this weekend when we go to Loudonville, Ohio, and play in a tournament. We will be the only division IV team there so we will be facing a lot of tough competition.” Varsity track and middle school track have also been active and move forward in the next week with a meet on Tuesday for varsity track and middle school on Friday.

The high school will have its Air Jam tomorrow. It is a lip syncing contest against the high school groups that have signed up. Nine groups will be competing.

Next Sunday the eighth graders leave for their Washington, D.C. trip; they will be gone until May 13. “I’m excited but also nervous because it’s going to be a bigger area in Washington, D.C. than what it is here in Van Wert,” said Julia Feasby.
