VWHS plans college admissions meeting

There will be an excellent opportunity for all parents of Class of 2017 to discuss areas of mutual concern regarding the college admission process during a meeting being held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, in the First Federal Lecture Hall of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio.

The presentation will address such topics as dealing with choosing a college, application procedures, entrance requirements, ACT tests, SAT tests, visitations, costs, scholarship information, and financial aid procedures. In addition, work force job opportunities/internships will be discussed.

Each year, VWHS’s follow-up survey of graduates shows that parents have the greatest influence on post high school plans. For parents who are putting their first child through college, this session is imperative, and if it is a second child, parents can note changes and additional information that would be helpful.
