Summer youth jobs program announced

LIMA — The Lima/Allen Council on Community Affairs (LACCA) is working with the Van Wert County Department of Job and Family Services to administer the 2016 Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Summer Youth Employment Program.

The Summer Youth Employment Program will help teens and young adults, ages 14 to 24 years old, earn money while building job skills and exploring their future career goals. Worksite placement will begin on June 1 and the experience will last through August 31^.

LACCA will work directly with youths to identify a worksite that matches their skills, interests, and education and employment goals.

Applications for the SYEP are currently available at Job and Family Services.
