Summer concert kick-off

The Van Wert Area Community Band (above) kicked off the summer concert season in Fountain Park on Friday with a performance that included patriotic music to get area residents in the mood for Monday’s Memorial Day celebration. The Van Wert County Foundation’s Summer Music Series in the park begins this coming Friday, June 3, with the Together Band. Concerts start at 7 p.m. (Dave Mosier/Van Wert independent)
