United Way gives to PLC

United Way donates to PLC 5-2016

United Way of Van Wert County made a $2,000 donation to the Pregnancy Life Center to help with startup costs of its new medical clinic. The money was given from the new initiative funds that provide one-time money for a new project or program. The PLC, 215 N. Market St., has served the county since 1999 and currently provides free pregnancy tests and educational, emotional, and spiritual support to women and men facing an unplanned pregnancy. It also offers a local program to help build self-esteem among middle school-aged boys and girls. The PLC continues to offer a one-on-one support program for teens that are pregnant or have a child, while the new medical clinic will provide free ultrasounds and STD testing to the community, in addition to the above services.
