Franklin L. Mitchell

Franklin L. Mitchell, 66, of Van Wert, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his residence.

He was born May 22, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Franklin L. and Anna (Dumschatt) Mitchell, who both preceded him in death. He was formerly married to Linda Mitchell, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sons, Jason Mitchell and Eric Metzger, both of Van Wert; a brother, Heiko (Barbara) Pollem of San Diego, California; one sister, Anna Luedeke of Thomasville, North Carolina; and a granddaughter.

Two brothers, Harry and Wolfgang Pollem, also preceded him in death.

There will be no funeral services.

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
