Paula O. (Etzler) Koenemann

Paula O. “Polly” (Etzler) Koenemann passed away at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born September 21, 1918, in Convoy, the daughter of Fred and Martha (Muntzinger) Etzler, who both preceded her in death. On November 16, 1941, she married Robert “Bob” Koenemann, who died in 2007.

Survivors include three children, Elaine (Chuck) Fischer of New Salisbury, Indiana, Connie (Jan Campa) Koenemann of Ogden, Utah, and Leta Schieber of Concord, North Carolina; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothea Gehres of Oviedo, Florida, and Nora Horecny of Louisville, Kentucky.

Four brothers, Walter, Gerald, Norman, and Erwin Etzler; and two sisters, Frieda Schumm and Pauline (in infancy) also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Redeemer Lutheran Church near Convoy, with the Rev. Michael Saylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Gearhart & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Redeemer Lutheran Church or the American Red Cross.
