Alternate site chosen for VW band concert

Information has been received on an alternate site for Friday’s Van Wert Area Community Concert Band concert.

In case of inclement weather for the concert, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday in Fountain Park, the concert will be moved to the Commercial Building on the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Information will be posted on this page, as well as WERT (1220 AM), WKSD (99.7 FM), WCSM (96.7 FM), WRKD (101.3 FM), and WDOH (107.1 FM).

Area residents would still need to bring lawn chairs (or, in this case, cement chairs). The Washington Street (U.S. 127) entrance to the fair is closed, so those traveling from the south should enter the fairgrounds off Fox Road, while those coming from the north should enter off Balyeat Avenue.
