Humane Society sets ‘Christmas in July’

The Van Wert County Humane Society will celebrate “Christmas in July” during a special adoption event scheduled for 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, July 25.

The event will take place at the local humane shelter, 309 Bonnewitz Ave. in Van Wert. The shelter will be decorated for the holiday and serving Christmas cookies and punch.

The public is invited to meet and play with the shelters numerous cats, kittens, and dogs. In addition, there will be sales of t-shirts, mood bracelets, key chains, and water bottles. All proceeds from the sale of products will go to support the operation of the Van Wert County Humane Society.
