Betty R. Lloyd

Betty R. Lloyd, 90, of Rockford, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, where she had been a patient.

She was born December 4, 1925, in Celina, the daughter of Cornelius and Opal (Barnett) Shindeldecker, who both preceded her in death. On September 3, 1946, she married Robert Leroy Lloyd, who died October 4, 2001.

Survivors include two children, Barbara (Chuck) Painter of Rockford and Barry R. (Linda) Lloyd of Crossville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A sister, Phyllis Carr; and one brother, Harold Shindeldecker, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Diane Mendelson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 1, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: State of the Heart Hospice or Grand Lake United Methodist Church.
