Donors make banner project possible

Earlier this summer, the lampposts on Main and Washington streets began sporting colorful new banners, along with this year’s new American flags. The Design Committee of Main Street Van Wert maintains the downtown streetlamp banner project, with help from the Van Wert City Engineering Department.

The bright new banners help welcome residents and visitors into downtown, adding color and vibrancy to the streetscape of the district, while highlighting the community’s history and pride in the peony flower.

The banners are possible this season, thanks to the many banner sponsors, with one sponsoring business or organization recognized beneath each banner. Designed by Real Cre8tive Graphic Design and manufactured by Wilkinson Printing, Main Street Van Wert thanked the following businesses and organizations for supporting downtown revitalization work through a 2016 banner sponsorship:
