Crestview v-ball team opens with 2 wins

CONVOY — It was a great start for the Lady Knights varsity volleyball team, as it defeated both Stryker and Archbold in matches held Saturday.

Crestview downed Stryker in the first match of the day in straight games by scores of 27-17 and 25-7.

In the second match of the day, the Knights bounced back after losing the first game 17-25 to also down Archbold by winning the next two games by scores of 25-12 and 25-16.

Archbold

Serving — Lyvia Black. 15/15 with 6 aces; McClure, 13/15 with 4 aces; Baker, 12/12 with 2 aces; Maci Bowen, 9/9

Hitting — Gregory, 10 kills; Baker, 6 kills; McClure and McCoy, 4 kills each

Setting — Abby Bagley, 25 assists

Digs — Sydney Bowen, 22; McClure, 15; Gregory, 10; Black, 9

The Crestview JV is also 2-0 as it defeated Stryker in two games 25-22 and 25-16. In the second match, the JVs got the win in three games 25-21, 33-35, and 25-18.

The Lady Knights are now 2-0 overall and will be back in action on Tuesday with a road trip to Coldwater for another non-conference match. Game time for junior varsity will be 5:30 p.m.
