Coldwater downs Crestview v-ball team

COLDWATER — The Lady Knights varsity volleyball team traveled to Coldwater to compete in a non-conference match. The Cavaliers defeated the Knights in three games by scores of 8-25, 14-25, and 16-25.

With the loss, Crestview is now 2-1 overall and will be back in action on Thursday, September 8, as the Knights host the Wayne Trace Raiders.

The Crestview junior varsity team was also defeated by Coldwater in two games, 16-25 and 18-25, and is also 2-1 on the season.

Leading the way for the Lady Knights on Tuesday were the following:

Serving — Katie McClure, 9/9; Lyvia Black, 6/7; Maci Baker, 5/5; Sydney Bowen, 5/5 with 1 ace

Hitting — Baker, 7 kills; McClure and Lexi Gregory, 5 kills each; Ally McCoy, 4 kills

Setting — Abby Bagley, 18 assists

Digs — Black and McClure, 10 digs each
