Beverley Jean Cowan
Beverley Jean Cowan, 69, of Van Wert, passed from this life Sunday evening, September 4, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born on January 22, 1947, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Lowell Clarence and Rosella Marie (Turner) Camp. She was also preceded in death by her “Aunt Dean” H. Eileen Bloomfield, who raised Beverley. On June 12, 1970, she married Philip M. Cowan, who survives.
Other family members surviving include her children, Laura (Chris) Henkaline and their children, Anna, Addison, Andrew, and A.J. of Okauchee, Wisconsin; John Cowan and his children, Tryston, Thane, Avery, Ian, Caylin, and Micah of Van Wert; Nicole (Dave) Webb and their daughters, Bizzy and Pippa of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Ben (Amber) Cowan and their children Keegan, Kenley, and Kelta of Van Wert.
Beverley was a 1965 graduate of Van Wert High School and a longtime member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, homemaker, and partner in Cowan Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 9, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Beverley’s son-in-law, Pastor Chris Henkaline, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Visitation is from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, September 8, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center, whose staff gave her such special care during the final weeks of her life’s journey.
