Sally A. Schalois

Sally A. Schalois, 82, of Van Wert, and formerly of Vero Beach, Florida, at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born October 25, 1933, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Chester August and Edna Mae (Harvey) Bening, who both preceded her in death. On August 13, 1955, she married Milton “Mel” Schalois, who died July 24, 2015.

Survivors include three children, Kurt (Teresa) Schalois of Van Wert, Karen (Mark) Arold of Tilton, New Hampshire, and Kelly (Dave) Knight of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a sister, Nancy (Bob) Dunne of Florida; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private family funeral services will be held.

Preferred memorial: Van Wert County Humane Society.
